FOUNDER NOEL MARTIN

Noel Martin was a British-Jamaican entrepreneur from Birmingham who dedicated his life to promoting tolerance and democracy after surviving a racist attack in Germany in 1996. The attack left him paralyzed from the neck down, but he continued to advocate for inclusivity and diversity. In 2008, Noël Martin established the Noël and Jacqueline Martin Caring Foundation with the support of the state of Brandenburg. The foundation focuses on enhancing the lives of young people through education funding, supporting schools, and empowering students to create positive change.

*Foundation's Objectives:*

- *Education Funding*: Providing financial support to schools and students
- *Promoting Tolerance and Democracy*: Encouraging inclusivity and diversity through community engagement
- *Supporting Disadvantaged Children*: Offering assistance to children in need, helping them flourish

Noël Martin passed away on July 14, 2020, due to complications from the 1996 attack. However, his legacy lives on through the foundation and the annual commemorative events held at the memorial site in Blankenfelde-Mahlow, Germany. The Noël Martin Bridge was named in his honor, symbolizing his commitment to bridging communities.
